Job summary

MKS Instruments in Wilmington, MA is seeking a second shift Service Support Technician to diagnose and repair customer products returned to Service, reporting to the Senior Service Manager. You will work with technicians and customer service to ensure timely, accurate repairs and documentation.

The role requires repairing to subassembly level, communicating with multiple departments, restoring instruments to original specifications, and maintaining test records.

Qualifications

• A.S. Mechanical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent training.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficient with standard tools and test equipment.
• Ability to read schematics and assembly drawings.
• Ability to record data, diagnose failures and analyze information.
• Experience with PC-based applications including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs to subassembly level.
• Interface with departments to meet customer requirements.
• Make adjustments to return instruments to original specifications.
• Complete and maintain data records on serviced instruments.
• Maintain standards and test equipment used to accomplish tasks.
