Job summary

MKS Instruments, based in Massachusetts, is seeking a second shift Service Support Technician to partner with technicians and Customer Service to diagnose and repair customer products returned to Service. You will report to the Senior Service Manager and contribute to timely, quality service.

In this role you will perform repairs to subassemblies, interface with multiple departments, and ensure instruments return to original specifications.

Qualifications

• AS or equivalent engineering training required.
• Minimum 2 years related experience.
• Proficient with common tools and test equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
• Ability to read schematics and assembly drawings.
• Ability to record data and analyze test results.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Performing repairs to subassembly level
• Interfacing with various departments as necessary to meet customer requirements
• Make adjustments as required, to return instruments to original specifications
• Completing and maintaining data records on instruments returned for service
• Maintaining standards and test equipment required to accomplish the tasks listed above
