Job summary

Area Substance Abuse Council (ASAC) seeks a Lead Recovery Support Professional to supervise residential activities and support patients on their journey toward recovery. You will mentor Recovery Support Professionals, ensure professional group programming, and coordinate essential safety and health procedures in a collaborative team environment.

A strong candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, experience in human services or residential settings, and a valid driver’s license with the

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in human services or residential settings.
• Experience as a manager or shift leader.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patients in all residential activities.
• Aid the supervisor in training Recovery Support Professionals.
• Ensure group programming is professional and supervised.
• Document incident reports, accident reports, TB documentation, and daily logs.
• Model appropriate interaction with staff and patients; lead by example.
• Back-up for staff illness, vacations, or other coverage; participate in on-call responsibilities.
• Coordinate medication control procedures and schedule exams for patients; monitor drug screen procedures.
• Coordinate patient transportation; monitor patient rooms, lounges and laundry rooms; communicate needs to Director of Facility Operations.
