Area-Substance-Abuse-Council (ASAC) in Clinton, IA is hiring a Recovery Support Professional to empower individuals on their journey toward a life free of substance use. You will work on a multi-disciplinary team, supervise patients, document observations, lead skill development, manage medication storage, and transport clients as needed.

Qualifications include a high school degree, a desire to help others, and the ability to pass a background check; valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Desire to help others and stable work history.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Driver's license required.
• Human services education preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision for patients outside of treatment sessions.
• Document observations and maintain patient files.
• Lead skill development and educational sessions.
• Manage secure medication storage and monitoring.
• Conduct patient urinalyses per policy.
• Engage patients in on-site activities and coordinate transportation.
• Provide transportation to meetings and medical treatments.
• Assist with cleanliness and organization of the facility.
• Ensure facility security and key control.
• Uphold HIPAA and 42 CFR confidentiality.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
