Job summary

Area-Substance-Abuse-Council (ASAC) in Clinton, IA, is seeking a Lead Recovery Support Professional to supervise residential activities, support staff, and ensure safe, evidence-based care for individuals on their recovery journey.

You will coordinate medication control, monitor drug screen procedures, and maintain daily logs while training other RSPs and coordinating transportation, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and licensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and experience in human services or residential settings.
• Experience as a manager or shift leader preferred.
• Ability to obtain and pass extensive background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patients in residential activities and safety.
• Aid in training Recovery Support Professionals (RSP).
• Ensure professional and supervised group programming.
• Document incident reports, logs, and meal counts.
• Model professional interactions and lead the RSP team.
• Cover shifts during staff shortages and participate in on-call tasks.
• Coordinate medication control and monitor drug screening.
• Oversee patient transportation and facility safety/compliance.
