Job summary

Universal Beauty Products, Inc. is seeking a Quality Supervisor to lead the second shift Quality Control team and ensure every product meets company standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

You will supervise QC technicians, oversee inspections, and collaborate with Production, Warehouse, and Maintenance to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement. The role requires 5+ years in quality within manufacturing, 2–3 years in supervision, and strong GMP/SOP knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality control/quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2–3 years of supervisory or team lead experience.
• Strong working knowledge of GMP, SOPs, and quality systems.
• Demonstrated experience with root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and hold a team accountable.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related office tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment; able to work 2nd shift.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, schedule, and coach second shift Quality Control Technicians; address performance and attendance matters with HR.
• Oversee inspections, testing, and documentation for raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Make accept, reject, and hold decisions; escalate non-conformances; pause operations to protect quality.
• Lead root cause investigations and drive CAPA to closure.
• Oversee laboratory evaluations of complaints, returns, and retained samples.
• Ensure COAs are verified and that lab/inspection equipment is calibrated and used properly.
• Track quality metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and variation.
• Deliver GMP, SOP, and quality training and support audits.
• Provide clear shift-to-shift handoffs on quality status, holds, and deviations.
