Polycor Brand is seeking a 2nd Shift Plant Supervisor for Empire Mill in Oolitic, IN. You will lead the second shift, ensuring safety, production efficiency, and quality while coaching staff and maintaining strong cross-shift handoffs.

You will stay on the plant floor, adjust staffing as needed, and use data to drive decisions and continuous improvement. Strong leadership and commitment to safety are essential for success in this on-site role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to use production data to guide decisions and continuous improvement.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data reporting systems.
• Commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead second-shift operations to meet safety, production, quality, and performance expectations.
• Maintain a visible presence on the plant floor and ensure employees follow safety procedures and established work standards.
• Direct daily staffing and workflow, adjusting resources to meet production goals.
• Lead, coach, and hold employees accountable for attendance, performance, and conduct.
• Monitor production performance and key metrics, identify issues, and take corrective action.
• Conduct routine floor and line checks for safety, quality, schedule adherence, equipment performance, and productivity.
• Partner with Maintenance to address equipment concerns and ensure activities are completed.
• Support training and cross-training to strengthen employee skills and workforce flexibility.
• Apply Lean and continuous improvement principles to improve workflow and reduce waste.
