Job summary

Umicore is seeking a production technician to operate and troubleshoot infrared optical lens production equipment in Kentucky. You will measure dimensions with calipers and micrometers, adjust processes for best parameters, and inspect final parts to meet customer specs.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or GED, has 0–3 months of related experience or training, can read drawings, and has good dexterity for handling small parts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints.
• Dexterity to handle small fragile parts.
• 0–3 months experience or training acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Executes tasks in General Production following SOPs and safety/quality requirements.
• Maintains accuracy and completeness of records and transactions.
• Recognizes issues and supports continuous improvement of procedures.
• Supports colleagues and responds to stakeholder requests promptly.
• Maintains documentation in line with policies and procedures.
• Escalates issues to supervisor and follows up on corrective actions.
