Job summary

Specialty Building Products is hiring a Second Shift Material Handler for our Smithfield, RI location. You will pick, stage, and move warehouse items using forklifts, scanners, and order-picking equipment while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role is full-time on-site with a starting pay of $19.50–$21 per hour based on experience. We offer comprehensive benefits and a culture focused on growth and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience with warehouse picking and staging processes.
• Proficiency using hand-held scanners to locate and move items.
• Ability to operate a forklift and order picker as required.
• Commitment to safety standards and quality checks.
• Team-oriented and able to meet efficiency targets without sacrificing accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manually pick and stage warehouse items at loading docks.
• Use handheld scanner to locate items and move to dock doors.
• Move damaged items to reclaim area or RTV.
• Operate forklift and order picker when required.
• Maintain safe work practices and clean, organized dock/aisle areas.
• Inspect items for quality and accuracy during loading.
• Assist with unloading/loading trucks when needed.
