Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking a Material Handler in Smithfield, RI to load, unload, and stage products in our warehouse. You will use handheld scanners, operate a forklift, and ensure safe, accurate handling of items for loading. The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and quality in daily warehouse duties.

Qualifications

• Warehouse experience and ability to operate handheld scanners is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manually pick and stage correct warehouse items at loading dock locations.
• Use handheld scanner to locate items and move them to the appropriate dock door.
• Move damaged or non-conforming items to reclaim or RTV areas.
• Operate forklift and order picker as required.
• Perform all duties safely in line with company safety standards.
• Inspect products to meet quality standards during pulling and loading.
• Maintain housekeeping and organization on loading docks and warehouse aisles.
• Aim for team efficiency in item pulling without sacrificing accuracy.
• May assist in unloading or loading trucks when needed.
