Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking a Material Handler to join our VALUES-based organization. You will receive, pick, stage, and load warehouse items, use automated pickers, read work orders, and ensure accuracy and safety.

Four+ years of related experience and certification on powered industrial trucks are required, along with computer literacy. Benefits include medical, life, 401(k), paid time off, and holidays. Pay rate is $18.00-$19.00 per hour with a 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM start.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Four+ years of related experience and prior certifications on powered industrial trucks.

Responsibilities

• Receive, pick, stage load or return correct warehouse items using equipment as required.
• Use automated picker machines to select and move units as available.
• Read production work orders and scan and stage material accordingly; inspect for accuracy.
• Use equipment to load product on delivery trucks when required.
• Move damaged or non-conforming items to reclaim or return to vendor.
• Operate sit-down or stand-up forklift, swing-reach or order picker and maintain certifications.
• Perform daily inspections of powered industrial equipment and report maintenance issues.
• View orders or inventory in the system to assist with daily tasks and troubleshooting.
• Conduct all activities safely in accordance with company safety standards.
• Meet quality standards by inspecting product as received, pulled and loaded.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and organization on docks and warehouse aisles.
