Job summary

Clarios is seeking a manufacturing supervisor for our Geneva, Illinois Dry Assembly Plant. You will oversee production staffing, safety, and daily results to ensure targets are met and processes run smoothly on the 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM shift.

The role requires hands-on leadership, promoting strong employee relations, coaching, and adherence to environmental and safety standards. You will coordinate with Production Control and drive continuous improvement across the line.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Train production personnel to perform work assignments safely and efficiently.
• Maintain good employee relations through coaching and consistent application of employee relation policies.
• Requisition operating personnel to meet established goals.
• Facilitate employee team operations where needed.
• Maintain accurate database information regarding employee training and certification.
• Review and coach employees in accordance with plant goals.
• Administer production salary/wage policy for operating personnel.
• Enforce health, environmental and safety standards, work practices and housekeeping policies.
• Arrange for proper maintenance of machines and equipment.
• Report daily indicators, including production scrap and production per hour.
• Investigate material variances, report results, and recommend improvements.
• Solicit and encourage process, procedure and equipment improvements from team members.
• Audit Standard Work Practices and review effectiveness in team meetings.
• Coordinate workflow with Production Control department.
