Job summary

Carrier is seeking a 2nd Shift HVAC Supervisor & Engineering Lab Technician at our Charlotte facility. This hands-on leadership role oversees lab operations during evening hours, driving throughput, test quality and reliability.

You will lead from the front on chiller testing, instrumentation setup, and data collection to support critical manufacturing ramp-ups. You will coordinate with maintenance, ensure safety standards, and bridge technical execution with team leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED is required.
• 5+ years HVAC industry experience.
• 2+ years experience with precise measurement systems (electrical, temperature, pressure, flow).
• 1+ years experience with high voltage or high-power electrical systems and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and organize a team of technicians to conduct water-cooled and air-cooled chiller testing.
• Personally execute test runs and set up chillers with instrumentation.
• Monitor data acquisition systems and ensure equipment uptime.
• Manage support infrastructure including boilers and cooling towers.
• Enforce electrical safety and calibration standards to maintain a zero-incident environment.
