Qualifications

• Proven passion for customer service and engagement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Retail or other customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to influence others and build rapport.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers to provide the best possible shopping experience.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily work tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Support training new team members and cross-training.
• Assist with department scheduling to improve customer service and store profitability.
• Ensure freshness of products by monitoring rotation and dating policies.
• Guide team in food safety standards and safe work practices.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product display where applicable.
• Contribute to Meijer culture, emphasizing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
• Operate a register and cash handling when needed.
