Job summary

TO Plastics is seeking an Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician on second shift (1:45pm–10:00pm) in Clearwater, MN. You will perform preventative maintenance, repair mechanical equipment, read blueprints, and support PLCs and automation systems.

You will work with a team to keep production lines running, ensure safety, document maintenance activities, and use maintenance software to manage tasks. A GED or trade school is preferred; strong mechanical troubleshooting skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Trade school certificate or 1-2 years of machine maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong background in machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of plastics processing and film extrusion.
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and construction blueprints.
• Knowledge of PLCs, servo controls, variable speed drives, and conveyors.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand basic English for work directions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Clean machines and parts; lubricate or apply adhesives as required.
• Dismantle and reassemble machines for repair and maintenance.
• Inspect damaged parts and advise on repairs; install replacements.
• Set up and operate machine controls; monitor efficiency and issues.
• Maintain readiness with documentation and spare parts inventory.
• Develop, test, and implement PLC programs and logic; write change requests.
• Train teammates and assist as needed to ensure production readiness.
