Job summary

Batesville is seeking a production supervisor to lead hourly teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will schedule, train and evaluate staff, ensure safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The role emphasizes Lean Manufacturing practices, strong communication, and cross-functional collaboration with maintenance and quality teams. Travel may be required and a bachelor's degree is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 1–5 years related manufacturing supervisory experience or training.
• Emphasis in manufacturing operations or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement concepts (5S, CI, PFEP, KanBans, VSM) is valued.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production employees including scheduling, training and performance appraisal.
• Ensure safety, quality and productivity targets are met and staffing needs evaluated.
• Communicate performance, schedules and activities to work teams regularly.
• Develop and implement measures to improve safety, methods and equipment performance.
• Maintain time and production records and enforce company policies.
