Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of technicians responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs of heavy equipment, trucks, and containers. You will ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with regulations, while driving efficiency and reducing downtime.

The role requires leading daily shop activities, coaching staff, and collaborating with management on improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance with heavy equipment.
• 1 year of supervisory experience in a lead technician role or management.
• ASE certifications required including T2 Diesel Engine for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise technicians to ensure safe, efficient, timely repairs and maintenance.
• Plan and schedule repair work to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Monitor performance and report to management with improvement recommendations.
• Oversee inventory control and budget alignment for department.
• Maintain advanced knowledge of heavy vehicle systems for diagnostics and repairs.
