Harbinger Motors seeks an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist to champion a world-class safety culture across our Manufacturing & R&D facilities in California. You will support second-shift operations, drive comprehensive EHS programs, and ensure regulatory compliance while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

The role involves risk assessments, JHAs, safety training, and leading the site EHS Safety Committee to empower frontline workers as Safety

Competenze

• 3+ years of environmental health and safety experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in occupational safety or related field.
• Automotive experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Able and willing to work second shift hours.
• Experience with EHS software (e.g., VelocityEHS) for incident tracking.

Mansioni

• Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
• Conduct risk assessments, JHAs, and ergonomic evaluations across facilities.
• Co-chair the EHS Safety Committee and mentor frontline workers as Safety Champions.
• Lead investigations for incidents, near-misses, and safety observations; drive RCCAs to closure.
• Deliver role-specific EHS training on hazards, LOTO, high-voltage safety, and emergency response.
• Maintain compliance with CalOSHA, DTSC, DOT and other regs; support recordkeeping and reporting.
• Oversee hazardous materials handling, storage, and disposal; assist with emergency planning.
• Track safety metrics and present insights to site leadership.
