Job summary

Harbinger is an American EV company seeking a Production Manager to lead 2nd shift manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, on-time production within budget and quality standards.

You will drive continuous improvement with KPI management, lead the launch and ramp-up of new assembly lines, and mentor a high-performing production team while partnering across Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Product Development.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in manufacturing, automotive, or EV operations.
• 5+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong problem-solving and Lean manufacturing experience.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with ERP/MES systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred but not required; equivalent experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Lead 2nd shift production operations, ensuring safe, efficient execution of the daily plan while meeting SQDCP targets.
• Lead launch and ramp-up of new assembly lines, including staffing, training, equipment readiness, process validation, and production targets.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste, improve productivity, optimize labor, and lower Hours Per Unit (HPU).
• Monitor production performance and KPIs; use data to identify gaps and drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production, quality, equipment, and processes.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Product Development to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives to improve product quality and manufacturability.
• Develop, coach, and mentor supervisors and production team members to build a high-performing culture.
• Lead daily 2nd shift production meetings and ensure effective shift handoffs across all shifts.
