Job summary

Amprod is seeking a proactive Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support our growing manufacturing operations during second-shift hours. This role serves as a key safety resource across multiple facilities, helping maintain a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace.

The ideal candidate will conduct hazard assessments, investigate incidents, lead trainings, and partner with employees and leaders to strengthen our safety culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of experience in safety, EHS, manufacturing, or related industrial setting.
• Strong hazard recognition and problem-solving skills; able to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve company safety and environmental programs.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, injuries, and environmental events; recommend corrective actions.
• Serve as the primary EHS resource during second-shift operations.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety requirements.
• Lead or assist with employee safety training, orientations, and toolbox talks.
• Support emergency preparedness, response efforts, and drills.
• Assist with environmental compliance activities, waste management, spill prevention, and recordkeeping.
• Track safety metrics, corrective actions, and EHS documentation.
• Promote employee engagement, hazard reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Travel between local company facilities as needed.
