Job summary

Harbinger is seeking a Production Manager for 2nd shift manufacturing to drive safe, efficient output on time and within budget. You will lead line launches, improve processes, and build a high‑performing team across shifts.

The role requires 8+ years in manufacturing or EV operations, strong problem‑solving skills, and proficiency with ERP/MES systems. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. This position is based in California with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in manufacturing, automotive, or EV operations with leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of vehicle repair, rework, or assembly processes.
• Proven ability to lead teams in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.
• Skilled in problem‑solving, root cause analysis, and process improvement.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
• Proficiency with ERP/MES systems and production tracking tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred but not required; equivalent experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Lead 2nd shift production operations to meet SQDCP targets.
• Launch and ramp‑up new assembly lines with staffing and training.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve productivity.
• Monitor KPIs and drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for issues.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Product Development.
• Work with Design for Manufacturability initiatives to improve quality and efficiency.
• Ensure safety, quality standards and work instructions are followed.
• Develop, coach and mentor supervisors and production teams.
• Lead daily 2nd shift production meetings and ensure smooth handoffs.
