Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in New Jersey invites you to join as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at our Manchester day program. You will work on second and third shifts, helping individuals stay safe, healthy, and engaged in daily living activities.

You will coach participants in skills like cooking, cleaning, and community outings, coordinate transportation, and document progress with a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Minimum age 18 years or older.
• Availability for ten days of paid on-site orientation on weekdays.
• Empathy and a team approach to care for our individuals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure individuals are safe and healthy while attending the day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist individuals in daily living skills such as food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
• Supervise the planning, implementation, and documentation of programs to meet social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings for individuals.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from the day program.
