Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, engines, HVAC, and brake systems. Expect complex diagnostics, on-site and road work, and training in new technologies.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and consistently demonstrate technical expertise.
• 5-7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Inspections and repairs without supervision in heavy truck systems (suspension, engine, trans, brakes, electrical).
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• LNG and/or CNG experience is a plus but not required.
• Class B or higher CDL is a plus but not required; preferred CDL B.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge of vehicle components and performs complex repairs.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies, control, hydraulic and electrical systems; air/hydraulic brakes.
• Engine repair and diagnostics; fuel systems diagnostics.
• Suspension, drivetrain and steering systems maintenance.
• Heating/AC systems diagnostics and repair; aftertreatment systems care.
• Diagnose electrical concerns with scan tools; welding/fabrication as needed.
• Complete company training programs and perform related duties.
