Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Distribution Center Supervisor I for the 2nd shift in Buford, GA. You will oversee outbound delivery operations, including picking, packing, and route departure, while coaching hourly staff to meet safety and productivity targets.

You will ensure accuracy through audits and standard work, coordinate staffing and training, and drive Lean initiatives to improve performance. This is a full-time, on-site role with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience OR 6 years of distribution supervisory experience in lieu of degree.
2-5 years of leadership in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics operations.
Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, multi-shift environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and diplomacy to exchange information with employees.
Experience driving operational performance through safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery metrics.
Experience applying Lean, Continuous Improvement, Root Cause Analysis, and problem-solving methodologies.
Experience leading employee engagement initiatives and labor-relations matters.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work Second Shift.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise daily outbound dedicated delivery operations, including picking, packing, and route departure adherence.
Ensure picking accuracy through standard work procedures and audits.
Coach, mentor, and develop hourly team members to meet safety, quality, productivity, and attendance goals.
Monitor KPIs such as bill of lading handover time, shipping accuracy, productivity, and compliance metrics.
Coordinate staffing, workload planning, training, and resource allocation to meet demand.
Promote safety culture and continuous improvement through Lean and problem-solving.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet customer requirements and service levels.
Ensure compliance with policies, quality requirements, and regulatory standards.
Support warehouse initiatives including audits and process improvements.
Supervise day-to-day work and develop employees in operations and logistics.
