Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in Mount Holly, NC is hiring a 2nd Shift Receiving and Planning Coordinator to manage inbound/outbound material flow, shipments, and documentation. You will support shortages, expedites, and supply issues while providing detailed shift handoffs to minimize production disruption.

The role requires strong attention to detail, SAP/IMS familiarity, and the ability to coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams on second shift.

Qualifications

• BS/BA preferred or 6+ years of equivalent experience.
• Experience in receiving, inventory control, logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
• Ability to prioritize critical issues and communicate status through shift handoffs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the second-shift point of contact for critical material shortages, expedited shipments, and urgent delivery issues impacting production.
• Investigate missing materials, shipment delays, and receiving discrepancies; coordinate resolutions with carriers, suppliers, planners, and logistics staff.
• Document and communicate open shortages, expediates, and receiving issues through a detailed shift handoff to first shift.
• Coordinate and track inbound and outbound shipments, including critical and expedited deliveries.
• Process and maintain purchase orders, invoices, debits, chargebacks, and material transfer transactions.
• Monitor freight shortages, investigate discrepancies, file freight claims, and coordinate resolution with carriers and planners.
• Maintain ASN compliance, including non-compliance tracking and chargeback administration.
• Maintain receiving documentation and related reports (bills of lading, packing slips, etc.).
• Support inventory accuracy through transaction processing and audit compliance activities.
• Assist with shop floor materials support and supplier follow-up.
