Job summary

Matrix Camps, Logistics & Aviation is hiring Second Cooks to support food service operations at a remote mining camp near Winnemucca, Nevada. You will prepare meals for approximately 150 residents in a rotational camp setting and work within a collaborative safety-focused team.

The role requires remote camp kitchen experience, strong food safety knowledge, and a commitment to cleanliness and teamwork. Camp accommodations are provided, with a 3 weeks on/3 weeks off schedule and ongoing

Qualifications

• Remote camp kitchen experience (camp experience required for consideration)
• Ability to prepare meals for small and large groups in a high-volume setting
• Food Safety / Food Handler certificate (required)
• First Aid / Advanced First Aid certification (required)
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices (safe storage, sanitation, and handling)
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in remote/site conditions
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, cleanliness, and teamwork
• PPE and site rules compliance (specific PPE listed upon onboarding)
• Reference and criminal record checks
• Some sites may require pre-access drug screening and/or fitness-for-duty clearance
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States

Responsibilities
