Job summary

Jobot is seeking an SEC Reporting Manager in Plano, TX hybrid, permanent, with a $140,000–$165,000 annual salary. You will own the external financial reporting process, manage 10-K/10-Q/8-K filings, and coordinate with auditors and internal teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA, with 6+ years of public-company SEC experience and strong US GAAP knowledge. Big Four experience and Workiva/XBRL are a plus.

Qualifications

  • CPA certification preferred.
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting with SEC experience.
  • Hands-on with 10-K/10-Q filings and GAAP.
  • Experience coordinating with external auditors and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K with supporting footnotes.
  • Coordinate filing process with internal reviews, auditors, and XBRL tagging.
  • Research technical accounting matters under US GAAP and SEC rules.
  • Support acquisitions and complex nonrecurring transactions.
  • Maintain disclosure controls, calendars, and SOX documentation.
  • Assist with earnings releases and investor materials.
  • Identify improvements to accuracy and efficiency of reporting.

Job Details
What You’ll Do
  • Manage the preparation and filing of Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8‑K, including financial statements, footnotes and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate the complete filing process, including internal reviews, external auditor support, XBRL tagging and final submission
  • Research and document technical accounting matters and new accounting standards under U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements
  • Support accounting for acquisitions and other complex or nonrecurring transactions
  • Maintain disclosure controls, reporting calendars and supporting documentation related to external reporting and SOX compliance
  • Assist with earnings releases, investor reporting materials and the annual proxy statement
  • Identify opportunities to improve the accuracy, efficiency and consistency of the financial reporting process
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA certification
  • At least 6 years of progressive accounting experience, including public-company SEC reporting
  • Hands‑on experience preparing and managing Forms 10-K and 10-Q
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements and financial statement disclosures
  • Experience working with external auditors and cross‑functional corporate teams
  • Strong writing, project‑management and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines during quarter‑end and year‑end reporting cycles
Preferred Experience
  • Big Four or national public‑accounting experience
  • Workiva/Wdesk and XBRL reporting experience
  • Experience with acquisitions, purchase accounting or other complex transactions
  • Experience within a global, multi‑entity or industrial organization
