Job summary

Pima Medical Institute's Seattle campus is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine to join our faculty as a Substitute Veterinary Technician Instructor on an as-needed basis. The role focuses on delivering morning or evening lectures, leading laboratory demonstrations, and evaluating clinical skills when regular faculty are unavailable.

Qualifications

• Association degree from AVMA CVTEA-accredited Veterinary Technology program or DVM degree.
• Active LVT license or DVM license in the State of Washington.
• Minimum of three years of hands-on clinical experience in veterinary field.
• Strong verbal and written communication; proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and lead practical lab demonstrations following AVMA CVTEA-accredited curriculum.
• Evaluate student competence using official competency checklists.
• Demonstrate and supervise use of standard veterinary equipment and ensure safety.
• Record attendance, track progress, and coordinate with program leadership.
