Job summary

Pima Medical Institute is seeking a Substitute Veterinary Assistant Instructor to cover evening lectures and hands-on lab sessions at our Denver campus on an as-needed basis.

The role requires a CVT/RVT in good standing in Colorado, AVMA-accredited or comparable training, and at least three years of clinical veterinary experience. Flexible on-call hours may be available to support the program.

Qualifications

• Current CVT or RVT in good standing in Colorado.
• Graduate of AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program OR four years of verified related training/experience.
• Minimum three years of clinical veterinary experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and LMS.

Responsibilities

• Instructional coverage delivering evening lectures and lab activities.
• Hands-on mentorship guiding students in clinical lab skills.
• On-site facilitation and assisting with online materials during shifts.
• Student advisory with live feedback and professional mentorship.
• Accurate recording of attendance and logging student performance.
