Job summary

KPFF Seattle is offering a Summer 2027 Structural Engineering Internship. You will work with our structural team on buildings ranging from high-rises to education facilities, gaining hands-on experience from day one.

You will assist engineers, work with CAD staff, and use design software while traveling to sites to observe conditions and construction. The role requires ABET-accredited study and completion of core design courses.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing ABET-accredited bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering.
• Completion of two or more design courses (concrete, steel, wood, or masonry) by start of 2027 internship.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with problem solving and project goals.
• Support CAD staff with calculations and plan production.
• Use engineering/design software to contribute to project development.
• Travel to project sites and fabrication facilities.
