Job summary

BuyWander is seeking a Transportation Manager to own inbound freight end-to-end, from carriers and rates to on-time deliveries across its Seattle-area operations. You will negotiate, consolidate loads, and build a carrier network that scales with our growing footprint.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in transportation, freight brokerage, dispatch, or logistics operations.
• Proven track record reducing freight cost, not just coordinating shipments.
• Strong verbal communication and accountability with carriers.
• Strong spreadsheet skills and experience with internal platforms (Chuk).
• Highly organized with ability to manage many moving parts and anticipate issues.
• Experience with a TMS or load-tracking platform is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; logistics coursework or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own freight cost as a percentage of net revenue and drive it down against plan.
• Negotiate rates, lane pricing, and terms with carriers and brokers; build a carrier network.
• Maintain a carrier scorecard and reallocate volume based on performance.
• Schedule and manage inbound deliveries across BuyWander facilities; prevent congestion at docks.
• Track loads from booking to delivery in Chuk; provide real-time visibility and reporting.
• Communicate with drivers and carrier dispatchers to resolve delays and issues.
• Scale the network with market launches, new lanes, and cost benchmarks.
