D.P. Nicoli Moving is seeking a Dispatch Manager in Seattle to lead the daily flow of operations, coordinate driver and yard activities, and ensure timely deliveries and pickups for customers.

This hands-on leadership role demands quick decision-making and a focus on safety, efficiency, and top-notch service. You will own the dispatch agenda, manage personnel, and maintain equipment availability while collaborating with sales and customers to resolve issues and keep timelines intact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in dispatch, operations, logistics, rental, distribution, or transportation.
• Confident leader who can set expectations, coach, and hold a team accountable.
• Can manage multiple priorities without losing the details.
• Excellent judgment and proactive planning to handle changing priorities.
• Excellent communication with customers, employees, sales, and leadership.
• Stays calm when plans change and quickly starts on a new plan.
• Organized, self-directed, and results-oriented.
• Proficient with ERP systems, Excel, and Word.
• English proficiency sufficient for effective safety communication.
• College degree or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and organize drivers and yard employees, setting daily priorities and expectations.
• Own the daily dispatch schedule, coordinating deliveries, pickups, drivers, equipment, and customer needs.
• Keep the operation moving when schedules change or issues arise.
• Identify delays early and have a Plan B ready.
• Build a team culture focused on safety, urgency, accountability, and customer service.
• Serve as a key contact for customers and the sales team; take orders and provide quotes.
• Communicate proactively to manage jobsite needs and expectations.
• Oversee equipment and yard readiness, maintenance, and inventory.
