Job summary

Driven Distribution Group is seeking an Assistant Dispatch Manager to support daily driver dispatch operations and ensure on-time delivery across routes. The role involves coordinating routing, communicating with drivers and warehouse teams, and assisting the Dispatch Manager in supervising staff.

The candidate will help resolve delivery issues, ensure compliance with transportation policies, and contribute to overall customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
• Proficiency with dispatch or routing software and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and overseeing daily driver dispatch operations.
• Monitor driver schedules and adjust routes to optimize efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Communicate with drivers, warehouse teams, and sales staff to ensure timely order fulfillment and issue resolution.
• Support driver training and compliance with company policies and DOT regulations.
• Help track and report on route performance, delays, and exceptions.
• Provide coverage and decision-making support in the Dispatch Manager’s absence.
• Collaborate with Logistics and Operations teams to maintain accurate transfer routing between branches.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
