H&R Block, Inc. is hiring a year-round Block Advisor Tax Advisor to help clients navigate complex tax and business services with confidence. You will prepare accurate returns, uncover savings opportunities, and build lasting client relationships using our training and technology.

This in-person role is based in a local Block Advisors office. You will interview clients to understand financial situations, provide personalized recommendations, offer IRS support and audit guidance, and collaborate

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience preparing complex individual and business returns with tax planning and audit support.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative or advisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations, life changes, and tax implications — then provide clear, personalized recommendations
• Build trusted, year-round client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities and relevant Block Advisors products and services
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed
• Collaborate with team members, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment
