Job summary

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in a similar position, High school completion, and Food Safe Level I / WHMIS certifications. Flexible schedules include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; commitment to obtaining Inter-Provincial Trade Qualifications.
• Food Safe Level I and WHMIS certifications are required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position.

Responsibilities

• Works a variety of shifts & stations.
• Ensures food preparation and service delivery standards are consistently achieved and maintained.
• Ensures quality, quantity and presentation of all food prepared, meeting Coast Hotels standards for freshness, appearance and consistency.
• Ensures correct daily requisitioning, receiving, storage and rotation of mise en place.
• Prepares, cooks and presents food as outlined in menu descriptions, build sheets, photos, and Server’s checks.
• Adheres to food safety regulations, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Directs and assists junior culinary Ambassadors.
• Carries out other duties as assigned by the Culinary leadership team.
