Job summary

The City of Eagan is seeking two Recreation Site Coordinators to support winter rink operations and on-site supervision at outdoor facilities. You will assist with rink supervision, staff coordination, and providing excellent customer service in a dynamic, outdoor environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with rink attendants, resolving staffing and facility needs, traveling between sites, and ensuring safe, efficient operation of warming houses and rinks during the winter season.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of work experience in recreation or related field
• Progressive leadership responsibilities
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to work independently and in outdoor winter settings

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervision of sites by supporting rink attendants to ensure safe and orderly operation
• Determine staffing and facility responses as initial contact for warming house staff
• Troubleshoot staffing shortages and fill in at sites as needed
• Travel to different sites in city vehicle to check rinks
• Communicate effectively with staff and supervisors
• Make immediate decisions on behavior and weather-related concerns
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Work with diverse populations and enforce site policies respectfully
• Assist in recreation programs and city-wide events as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned
