Job summary

Collaborative-Support-Programs (CSPNJ) seeks seasonal Warming Center Team Leads to supervise overnight shelter operations for unhoused individuals from November through March. You will oversee nightly intake, distribute supplies, and help guests access community resources, while ensuring safety and a warm, respectful environment.

Experience with homeless populations and recovery journeys is valued; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years working with the homeless population.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds and communities.
• Willingness to share personal experience with mental health/substance use services.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and create a welcoming, respectful environment.
• Manage nightly intake and distribute supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness of the center and report safety concerns.
• Connect guests with critical community resources.
• Respond to behavioral health crises with de-escalation when needed.
• Adhere to staffing schedules to ensure safe coverage.
