Job summary

The Contemporary Austin is seeking a Venue Attendant to oversee rental event operations at Laguna Gloria and Jones Center. You will be the primary on-site contact for event planners, clients, and vendors, ensuring compliance with contracts and museum rules while supporting load-in/out and post-event closeout.

This seasonal, part-time position requires reliable transportation to both locations, flexibility to work evenings (up to 1am/2am), and availability for 4–5 shifts per month including

Qualifications

• Must have excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Reliable transportation to both museum locations.
• Able to work late evenings (1am/2am).
• Available to work 4–5 shifts per month and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee events from start to finish, ensuring planners and clients follow contracts and museum rules.
• Serve as the main point of contact for Event Planners, Vendors, and Guests.
• Coordinate with on-site vendors to meet terms during load-in, event, and load-out; prevent early entry and overtime.
• Ensure rental spaces stay in good standing and handle incidents on-site.
• Operate a golf cart to transport guests at Laguna Gloria (when applicable).
• Document damages/incidents via reports and assist rentals team with closeout docs.
• Collaborate with Venue Attendants, Visitor Engagement, and Facilities Team during overlaps between public hours and events.
• Complete end-of-event procedures and post-event documentation.
