Qualifications

• MA in Art History or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years curatorial experience in a museum or contemporary arts organization.
• Scholarly achievement with exhibitions, talks, and publications.
• Strong writing and public speaking skills.
• Proficiency with contemporary art from late 20th and 21st century.
• Excellent interpersonal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Commitment to engaging with Austin's art community and broader discourse.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and propose unique projects aligned with the museum's mission.
• Manage all aspects of assigned exhibitions, including project management, budgets, materials, and coordination.
• Collaborate on exhibition calendar and touring proposals.
• Assist with fundraising, development, and public programs.
• Lead public tours and represent the museum publicly.
• Mentor junior colleagues and collaborate with cross-departments.
• Coordinate with artists, gallerists, lenders, and institutions.
• Prepare materials for grant applications and reports.
