Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an experienced seasonal Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs and support from a specialist team providing advanced tax training.

You will conduct tax interviews, prepare returns, and help grow the client base while ensuring IRS/state requirements are met. A CPA/EA credential and a strong background in accounting or tax are preferred, with experience in virtual tax interviews and audit support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Mentor and support teammates
