Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You will meet with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns with guided training, and explain tax concepts clearly. You’ll identify savings opportunities and recommend related products while solving client questions with available resources.

Strong client relationships and teamwork are emphasized. No prior tax experience is required; day-one training and support help you grow in the role and earnings

Qualifications

• Strong communication and listening skills to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to organize information.
• Experience interacting with customers in service-oriented environments.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems, including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
