Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to start a career in tax and client services. No prior tax experience is required, as training and support are provided from day one.

This in-person role at a local H&R Block tax office focuses on gathering information, preparing returns, and helping clients with questions while building valuable client relationships. You’ll work with teammates to identify tax savings opportunities, explain information clearly, and grow your knowledge and earnings

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED/ equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
