H&R Block in Knoxville, TN is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join our local tax office in person. You’ll work with clients to gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions with on-the-job training from day one.

No prior tax experience is required; through hands-on coaching and access to AI tools, you’ll build skills, forge client relationships, and contribute to busy peak periods while earning an hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Completed H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent

Responsabilités

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations to clients
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to address questions or unique situations with guidance
