H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate in Kentucky. In this in-person role, you'll start a career in tax and client services with training from day one, working directly with clients to gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions.

No prior tax experience required; you’ll build skills, earn a competitive hourly rate, and have opportunities to increase earnings as you grow tax knowledge. Availability for peak periods is required.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to organize information.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
