H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to work in a local tax office. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions with training from day one. You’ll earn a competitive hourly rate while building valuable client relationships and tax knowledge.

No prior tax experience is required. This in-person role offers 15–40 hours per week during peak season and opportunities to increase earnings as you gain experience and contribute to client success.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication and ability to explain tax information clearly.
• Comfort using digital tools including AI-based assistance like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in an understandable way.
