H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to join our Lexington, KY tax office. You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with guidance from experienced teammates.

No prior tax experience is required; we provide training and ongoing support. The role offers an hourly rate and opportunities to increase earnings as you gain knowledge in tax and client services. This is an in-person position at a local H&R Block tax office.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
