H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate in Virginia for in-person client service during tax season. You’ll gather information, prepare returns, and share explanations with clients, with training and support from experienced teammates.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment
• Strong communication, including clear explanations
• Problem-solving abilities to organize information and find solutions
• Comfort with digital tools and AI-based assistants like Copilot/ChatGPT
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend products and services
• Apply problem-solving to analyze client information and address questions
• Build strong client relationships through teamwork and a client-first approach
