Qualifications

• 2+ years in tax prep, accounting, finance or bookkeeping incl. individual and small business returns
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client-friendly language
• Ability to collaborate within a team to deliver a seamless client experience
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Guide clients through a consultative experience and provide personalized recommendations
• Translate complex tax concepts into clear, client-friendly explanations
• Provide forward-looking tax planning guidance and product referrals
• Ensure accuracy of every return and support for notices and audits
• Stay updated on tax law changes and training resources
