Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including individual and small business returns.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language
• Ability to collaborate within a team environment to deliver a seamless client experience
• Must complete continuing education and meet all IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Review each client’s tax situation and provide personalized recommendations that build trust.
• Ensure return accuracy and compliance with IRS regulations and H&R Block standards.
• Translate complex tax concepts into plain language for clients.
• Provide forward-looking tax planning guidance and identify relevant H&R Block products.
• Support clients through tax notices and audit inquiries with accuracy.
