Job summary

Five Below is seeking a store leadership Associate/Manager-in-Training to oversee daily operations, train staff, and ensure a WOW customer experience. The role requires 1+ year of management and strong communication skills.

You will handle opening/closing, cash, and stock while driving sales and maintaining a high-energy, fast-paced environment. The position is on-site in Houston, with flexible scheduling including day, evening, weekends, and potential overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent is required.
• College experience is preferred for advancement potential.
• At least 1 year of management experience is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to multi-task and stay composed under pressure.
• Creative thinking to enhance customer experience and operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure crew wow the customer through personal contact.
• Train crew on the BEST customer service experience.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates and service quality.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and stocking on the floor.
• Act as Manager on Duty, handling store operations and staff.
• Open or close the store as needed, including cash handling.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates.
• Drive store sales and control expenses through merchandising and service.
• Partner with leadership on merchandising and store recovery procedures.
• Perform maintenance duties and keep stockroom orderly.
